With 3D scanning in mechanical engineering and for industrial applications, we capture components, tools and machines precisely and in detail – from the smallest components to large systems with component sizes of several meters. Depending on the requirements, we can achieve an accuracy of up to 0.01 mm.

Our 3D scanning does not end with the pure point cloud: on request, we can supply the complete data preparation, including mesh cleaning, alignment, reverse engineering as well as reverse engineering for CAD reconstruction.

3D scan data is often used directly in industry for design, production and reverse engineering.

CAD & Construction

An industrial 3D scan provides an exact digital geometry as a basis for design, development and technical documentation. For complex components in particular, the scan significantly reduces the time and effort required for conventional measurement and enables direct further processing in CAD.

Manufacturing & Prototyping

Scan data is often used to prepare components for CNC production or 3D printing. 3D scanning is also ideal for reproducing spare parts or adapting assemblies – even if no CAD data is available.

Reverse engineering

In reverse engineering, a technically usable model is created from the scan – e.g. through reverse engineering or CAD reconstruction. This creates data that can be used for design, simulation and production – from simplified models to precise reconstructions.
