Project Description
3D scan turbocharger
A 3D scan of a turbocharger offers a precise and detailed way of digitally capturing this highly complex component. The turbocharger, as an essential component of modern combustion engines, is characterized by complex geometries that are crucial for the efficiency and performance of an engine. With 3D scanning technology, these structures can be captured precisely and saved in digital form.
The 3D scan enables all surfaces, contours and internal structures of the turbocharger to be recorded with millimeter precision. This is not only of great importance for quality assurance, but also for development, repair and redesign. A digitized model of the turbocharger can be imported into CAD software to carry out modifications, analyses or simulations. Engineers and designers can thus work more efficiently on optimizations and further developments without having the physical component constantly available.
Particularly noteworthy is the possibility of using a 3D scan to examine the signs of wear and tear on a turbocharger after a long period of use. By comparing it with an unused model, conclusions can be drawn about the service life and possible improvement measures.
We show the original 3D scan without reverse engineering. However, we can do this after every 3D scan if required.
