This 3D scan of a technical engine demonstrates the possibilities of modern 3D scanning in the industrial sector. Complex components such as cylinder heads, cooling ducts and the finest geometries are digitized with high precision and provided as a detailed 3D model.

The generated scan data serves as the basis for reverse engineering and CAD reconstruction. Editable CAD data is created from the 3D scan, which is used for product development, optimization, quality assurance or the reproduction of spare parts. This form of 3D digitization of components is particularly important in the case of missing design data or discontinued components.
