Do you need exact 3D data of your components or articles? 3D scanning is an alternative to CAD design. 3D scanners can be used to obtain 3D data very quickly and, above all, very accurately. Especially for complex and particularly large models, 3D scanning of all types of components is a particularly fast way of obtaining the necessary data. The most common, very precise and fast way to digitize a component today.
As a 3D scanning service provider, we scan products of all kinds and create 3D files with our 3D scanning service. With our 3D scanners, we can capture any item in 3D without any problems. Contactless. Without having to stick targets or the like onto the objects – so your items are protected in the best possible way – we only work with the very latest laser scanners. How is the 3D scan performed and what else is possible?
The component is scanned using laser scanning. This is based on an accuracy of 0.01 mm. With or without texture.
After the actual scan, the individual 3D scans are aligned with each other and registered. The result is a set of scanned points that together form a point cloud. Noise and errors are eliminated and a surface model is then created from the resulting and corrected point cloud. This can then be exported in all common data formats, such as STL. This lays the foundation for everything else, the basic scan.
Further processing takes place depending on the requirements. It depends on the purpose for which the scan is ultimately to be used. In the industrial sector, where the further design, modification of an article or even the production of an article is to take place, reverse engineering (CAD format, STEP) is often carried out. Of course, we are also happy to do this for you.
3D scan without texture
A 3D scan without texture plays an important role in numerous industries, from the entertainment industry to spare parts of all kinds and mechanical engineering. While 3D scans in their finished form often contain detailed textures, non-textured scans focus only on the geometric structure of an object. This type of scan is used to capture the shape, dimensions and volume of an object without including additional surface details such as colors, patterns or materials.

In areas where the pure view of the article is the most important criterion, such as in 3D e-commerce or in 3D museums, the texture is often processed in a very complex way in order to present the article in the best possible way. 3D modeling
You don’t have a real article yet, but for certain reasons, such as marketing, you need a 3D file of the planned article and preferably also high-resolution photos for advertising? We model the item in 3D according to your specifications and are also happy to render high-resolution photos for you. This allows you to prepare the advertising without the item having to be finished in reality. Of course, this type of 3D modeling is also suitable for developing an article. The virtually created article can be adapted again and again until everything fits.

How accurate is the 3D scan?
We work with the latest 3D scanners on the market, which are also used in the aerospace industry. The accuracy is 0.01 mm, which is sufficient for the vast majority of high-precision industrial scans. We show what this accuracy looks like in the “picture” in a short video. In this video we have scanned a spectacle frame and then zoomed into the 3D scan.
